Rosenberger Announces Candidacy

WILMINGTON, OHIO 1/11/10 – Today, in front of a group of supporters, family and friends, Cliff Rosenberger announced his candidacy for Ohio State House of Representatives.  Rosenberger is seeking election to Ohio's 86th House district which current Representative, David Daniels, will be vacating due to term limitations.

“I am making the choice to step up and get involved because I can no longer see the people of the state I love hurt by the very government that was meant to stand up for them. ” said Rosenberger “It is high time that we have politicians that stop making excuses and comparisons and, instead, set higher standards.”

He continued, stating that "We must reform the way Ohio does business by living within our means and making our government efficient. We must set higher standards to compete for jobs, seek out those with innovative strategies and bring government back to the people."

“Between Cliff's deep roots in this community and his service to our country, he is exactly who Clinton County and the district need in Columbus,” said County Commissioner Randy Riley, “Cliff understands our needs and will fight to bring jobs back home.” 

Cliff Rosenberger has served as Clarksville Village Planner as well as chairman of Clarksville's 4th of July parade. Cliff more recently led a movement to establish a Clinton County Veterans’ Memorial in Wilmington. Working with the County Commissioners and community, the team raised over $180,000 to construct the memorial, which was dedicated on November 11, 2008

After graduating from Clinton Massie High School, Cliff acted on a calling to serve his country and enlisted in the Ohio Air National Guard. He was stationed in Springfield, Ohio as a member of the 178th Fighter Wing. After accepting a position at the Bush White House, he was reassigned to the 113th fighter wing of the Air National Guard where he is currently assigned.
